Hi Nick – I actually didn’t recall that, and anyway, no apologies necessary. It’s a compliment if someone thinks I look so good that I must be on TRT. As for gains, it’s hard to say. IMO I look better than ever, but at this point muscular gains come slow, since I’ve been lifting for 7 years now. About a year ago, I dropped 10 pounds (deliberately) through intermittent fasting, as I felt I just had too much body fat. I’d been trying to eat a lot to make those gains, and the result was too much fat. So I’m slimmer now, and I do feel I’ve made some decent gains since starting my Mentzer program, just about 1 year ago.

  1. Think big to small: Research shows that starting your workout with compound lifts (bench press, squat, overhead press, etc.) followed by smaller isolation movements leads to a greater anabolic response.[6]
  2. Get in, get out: Try to shorten your workouts without decreasing overall volume. Testosterone levels are higher after shorter workouts (less than 60 minutes) that keep rest periods brief (30-90 seconds), like this short but intense workout from Craig Capurso.[7]
  3. Keep more weapons in your arsenal: Utilizing lifting methods like forced reps, negatives, and dropsets will help keep intensity and testosterone high!

What should you expect from steroids and testosterone? What do you want, put the thought in your head and you can have it. Do you want to be bigger, fine, the means are available. Do you want to be stronger, again, the way is here. Do you want to be leaner, harder, increase athletic performance and simply improve your overall life dramatically? Steroids and testosterone can do all of these things, but guess what, testosterone alone can provide each and every trait we just mentioned; it truly is that remarkable. For many performance enhancers, testosterone is all they’ll ever need. This does not mean other steroids are worthless, far from it, but if you were to choose one and only one you can never go wrong with testosterone.
